After a string of 11 wins, Centralia's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Triad Knights by a score of 2-1. The Orphans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Centralia sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-21, 22-25, 25-18.

Marley Edson paced Centralia's offense, picking up 11 kills. Edson also shared the team's lead in assists with Rorie Lambert: they picked up nine each. Emaleigh Davis controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Centralia suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 23-7. As for Triad, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-15.

Centralia has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Richland County on the 25th. Triad does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
