Basketball Recap: Lighthouse Christian Academy Lions vs. Shakamak Lakers
The Lighthouse Christian Academy Lions and the Shakamak Lakers squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but sadly the Lighthouse Christian Academy Lions had to settle for second. They took a serious blow against the Lakers, falling 74-30. Lighthouse Christian Academy has struggled against the Lakers recently, as their contest on Wednesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Abagail Rousey and Jane Holdeman certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Rousey scored 11 points along with six rebounds, while Holdeman scored eight points.
Lighthouse Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Shakamak, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.
Lighthouse Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Shakamak will face off against the Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bloomfield is no doubt hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses.
