Aquinas extended their winning streak to five on Friday, bumping them up to 16-7. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 win over the Linfield Christian Lions. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-5 on Wednesday.

Not much got past Chris Alzaga, who gave up just three hits and racked up six Ks to keep Linfield Christian off the board.

On the hitting side, Carter Hadnot was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and two runs. Another player making a difference was Max Lopez, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

As for Linfield Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-6. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only 1.5 runs.

On Linfield Christian's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drew Taylor, who went 1-for-2 with one triple. That triple was Taylor's first of the season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Linfield Christian beat Aquinas by a score of 6-5 on Saturday.
