Football Recap: Windsor Takes Down Ranked Newtown

Windsor faced Newtown in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Warriors came out on top in a nail-biter against the Nighthawks, sneaking past 34-31. The win was just business as usual for the Warriors, who after three games remain undefeated this season.

Anthony Robinson was nothing short of spectacular: he threw for 334 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 33 yards and one TD. Those 33 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Missoni Brown was Robinson's top target, picking up 121 receiving yards and one score.

Windsor's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Newtown, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Windsor didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 42-0 win against Bristol Central on the 3rd. As for Newtown, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 55-0 victory against Stratford on the 3rd.
