Basketball Recap: West Takes a Loss

West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 28th straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 53-15 defeat at the hands of the Clearwater Indians. While losing is never fun, the Pioneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 331st, while the Indians are ranked 116th).

West's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Clearwater, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.

West wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 55-26 defeat against Chanute on the 24th. Clearwater has also already played their next contest, a 42-32 victory against Belle Plaine on the 24th.
