Oak Hill wins going away against Blackford

Recap: Oak Hill Golden Eagles vs. Blackford Bruins

The Oak Hill Golden Eagles won the last time they faced the Blackford Bruins, and things went their way on Friday too. Oak Hill was the clear victor by a 62-37 margin over Blackford. The win made it back-to-back wins for Oak Hill.

Oak Hill found their leader in underclassman Jace Tonagel, who scored 18 points along with eight assists and seven steals. Tonagel hasn't dropped below 15 points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Rj Shugart, who scored 11 points along with two steals.

Blackford's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Vince Oxley, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds, and Mason Kitterman who scored ten points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Oxley has scored all season.

Oak Hill is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Blackford, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oak Hill will play host again and welcome Tipton, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tipton has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Blackford, they will be playing at home against Northwestern at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Blackford focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday.
