Basketball Recap: Tyauna English Key Part of a Team Effort in Gators Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pensacola, Escambia was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 48-31 victory over the Elberta Warriors. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 31-24 back in December of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Escambia to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tyauna English, who posted 21 points. Another player making a difference was Demi Liu, who scored 19 points.

Escambia's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Elberta, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-17.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Escambia won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Tate at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Elberta has already played their next match (against Satsuma), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
