Basketball Game Preview: Canadian Cougars vs. Kiowa Cowboys

Canadian is 0-10 against Kiowa since January of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Canadian Cougars will be playing at home against the Kiowa Cowboys at 6:45 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Canadian comes in on three and Kiowa on five.

Last Monday, Canadian didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Savanna, but they still walked away with a 46-41 win.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kiowa). They blew past Haileyville 70-15 on Tuesday. The Cowboys have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 30 points or more this season.

Kiowa pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.5 points per game. As for Canadian, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.
