Football Game Recap: Live Oak vs. Westmont

Live Oak were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They put a hurting on Westmont to the tune of 49-7. Westmont can consider this payback for the 7-9 loss they dealt Live Oak the last time the teams encountered one another.

Live Oak's offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 35 first-half points. Meanwhile, Westmont couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 35-0 heading into the break. The Live Oak defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the contest. The win bumped Live Oak's record up to 5-0. The defeat dropped Westmont's record to 1-4.

Next week Live Oak take on Piedmont Hills at Homecoming at 7:00 PM. The team will be hoping to continue their now three-game streak of scoring more points each match than the last. Westmont will be playing at home against Lincoln at at 7:00 PM. Westmont stagger into the match hobbled by three consecutive losses while Lincoln skip in buoyed by three consecutive wins.
