Meanwhile, New Hampstead played a tough matchup on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 74-44 defeat at the hands of South Gwinnett. The game marked the Phoenix's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Savannah Christian will have to contain Mack Smith as he made an impact in New Hampstead's last game. He went 5-for-12 on his way to 13 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Jalen Suber, who posted eight points.

Savannah Christian's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for New Hampstead, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
