The Godwin Eagles and the Matoaca Warriors squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Godwin Eagles had to settle for second. Godwin was outmatched by Matoaca on the road and fell 36-0. Having soared to a lofty 32 points in the game before, Godwin couldn't push the score so high this time.

Matoaca's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Montino Williams jr, who rushed for 115 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries. Caljuan Tucker got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Godwin's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Matoaca, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-3.
