Basketball Recap: Turner Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Turner had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They snuck past the North Side Steers with a 55-51 victory on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Steers: they've now won four in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Turner to victory, but perhaps none more so than Matthew Stone, who posted 17 points and five rebounds. Arnav Lohiya was another key player, going 6-for-10 to rack up 13 points and four steals.

Coming up, Turner will welcome Western Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Side, they will take on Conrad in a tournament on Thursday.
