Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Maryville's 11th in Last 14 Outings

Maryville won the last time they faced Farragut and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Maryville Red Rebels secured a 70-64 W over the Farragut Admirals.

Leading Maryville to victory were Brayden Hazelbaker and Jonathan Woodlee. Hazelbaker went 9 for 13 to rack up 29 points, while Woodlee went 8 of 13 on his way to 22 points. Thanks to that strong game, Hazelbaker now owns an excellent 45.8% shooting accuracy. Brody Smith was another key player, putting up four points.

When it comes to explaining why Farragut lost, don't look at Parker Lane. Despite the final result, he went 8 of 13 en route to 26 points. Lane continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Bryce Howard also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Maryville is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.4 points over those games. As for Farragut, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-10.
