Basketball Recap: Hardin Comes Up Short

Hardin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 82-20 loss at the hands of the Kountze Lions. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1207th, while the Lions are ranked 152nd).

Hardin's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Kountze, their win was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1.

Hardin will take on Cleveland in a tournament on December 27th. As for Kountze, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Kountze Lions challenge the Buna Cougars at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
