Woodward Academy came tearing into Thursday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Starr's Mill Panthers by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the War Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Woodward Academy easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-18.

Woodward Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Starr's Mill, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Woodward Academy will host Forsyth Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Starr's Mill, they will be playing at home against Warner Robins on Tuesday. The Panthers are facing the Demons at the right time seeing as the Demons are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
