Volleyball Recap: Arjun Sagoo and Zac Chan Secure Win for Eastmark

Eastmark barely beat Combs the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Firebirds were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Coyotes on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Firebirds in their matchups with the Coyotes: they've now won eight in a row.

While Eastmark won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-20, 25-23.

Eastmark was led to victory by Zac Chan and Arjun Sagoo. Chan had 26 assists and five digs, while Sagoo had 12 digs. That's the most digs Sagoo has posted since back in March.

Eastmark's win bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Combs, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.

Eastmark will challenge Cactus Shadows at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something the Firebirds surely won't give up without a fight. As for Combs, they will face off against ALA - Gilbert North at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
