Volleyball Recap: Agoura Comes Up Short

Agoura lost against Newbury Park back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Agoura Chargers came up short against the Newbury Park Panthers, falling 3-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Chargers were not able to get on the board.

Agoura was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Newbury Park work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 26-24, 25-19.

Agoura dropped their record down to 3-2 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Newbury Park, with the victory, they broke their 11-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-10.

Looking ahead, Agoura will face off against Foothill Tech at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Newbury Park, they will challenge Arroyo Grande at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
