Softball Game Preview: Romeoville Spartans vs. Oswego East Wolves

Romeoville hasn't had much luck against Oswego East recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Spartans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wolves at 4:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Romeoville is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They fell 9-4 to Bolingbrook.

Rylee Teel made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season.

Plainfield East hit Oswego East with a five-run third inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wolves took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bengals. Wolves fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Bengals since on Wednesday.

Danielle Stone was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Maya Bobo, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Romeoville's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Oswego East, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.
