Basketball Recap: Desert Hills Comes Up Short

Desert Hills had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 63-59 to the Mountain View Bruins on Thursday. The Thunder were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bruins apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February.

Despite the loss, Desert Hills still got an impressive performance from Jack Openshaw, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Antene'a Tauaefa, who posted 12 points and six boards.

Mountain View's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jake Goodman led the charge by putting up six points.

Desert Hills has already played their next matchup (against Clearfield), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Mountain View, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 72-66 defeat against Mountain Ridge on the 21st.
