Research Triangle barely beat Franklin Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Raptors were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Patriots on Wednesday. The Raptors haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Research Triangle walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-18, 25-16.

Lucy Cade paced Research Triangle's offense, picking up nine kills. Cade got some help from Jacee Oneal and her 13 assists. Oneal also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Mckenzie Furlow, racking up five apiece.

Research Triangle's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Franklin Academy, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
