Holmes is a perfect 10-0 against Perquimans since October of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Aces will welcome the Pirates at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Holmes has four straight victories, Perquimans has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Perquimans better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Holmes' game on Monday is any indication, that's when Holmes really gets things going. The Aces never let Gates County get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. The result was nothing new for Holmes, who have now won eight matches by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Gates County with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ayden Furlough (2), Elvis Manzo-Pineda, and Peyton Mattera.

Meanwhile, Perquimans fell victim to Camden County and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bruins. While losing is never fun, Perquimans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 415th, while Camden County are ranked 171st).

Holmes' victory bumped their record up to 9-4-3. As for Perquimans, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8-1.

Holmes took their win against Perquimans in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 4-0 score. Do the Aces have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pirates turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
