Basketball Recap: Dawson School Comes Up Short

Dawson School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 36-20 to the Golden View Classical Academy Sentinels.

Leading Golden View Classical Academy to victory were Mira Lensink and Ainsley Chidester. Lensink dropped a double-double on 14 points and 17 boards, while Chidester posted seven points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Chidester has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played.

Dawson School's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Golden View Classical Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3.

Dawson School won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Clear Creek at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Dawson School is facing Clear Creek at the right time seeing as Clear Creek is stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Golden View Classical Academy, they will venture away from home to take on Poudre Community Academy on Monday. The timing isn't great for Poudre Community Academy: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while Golden View Classical Academy has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.
