West Florida Baptist Academy came into Monday's contest looking for another win against Paxton, but Cade Stewart wouldn't allow it. The Paxton Bobcats came out on top against the West Florida Baptist Academy Conquerors by a score of 42-31 on Monday thanks in part to Stewart, who posted 12 points in addition to five boards and five steals. Those five steals gave him a new career-high.

The team also got some help courtesy of Wade Borgesen, who had three points and seven steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played.

West Florida Baptist Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Shepard Brown, who earned 11 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Sam Pearce, who put up five points and seven rebounds.

Paxton's victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for West Florida Baptist Academy, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-4.

Paxton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 49-43 win against Sneads on the 14th. As for West Florida Baptist Academy, they will take on Aletheia Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. West Florida Baptist Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.8 points per game this season.
