Baseball Recap: Adams Comes Up Short

Adams couldn't beat Poteet on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Cougars fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 9-7. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Pirates: they've now lost seven in a row.

Emilio Wong made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs, three RBI, and one double while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Sean Morales, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Adams' defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Poteet, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-13-2.

As of now, neither Adams nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
