Softball Recap: Oak Hill's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Oak Hill can bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over the South Gallia Rebels. Considering the Oaks' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Brynlee Stickley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ellie McCarty, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. She also hit two doubles, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Miley Morgan, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one double.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-9. As for South Gallia, their loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-10.
