Mountain View is 9-1 against Capital since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Mountain View Mavericks are taking a road trip to challenge the Capital Golden Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Thursday, Mountain View rang in the new year with a 67-54 win over Bishop Kelly.

Meanwhile, Capital came tearing into two weeks ago's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20 points) and they left with even more momentum. They pulled ahead with a 73-72 photo finish over the Lions.

Capital's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Mountain View, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-3.

Mountain View couldn't quite finish off Capital in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 and fell 74-71. Can Mountain View avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
