Softball Recap: Stamford Takes a Loss

Stamford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 17-0 to the Trumbull Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Black Knights of the 8-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Stamford's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Trumbull, they pushed their record up to 6-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Stamford will face off against rival Greenwich at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Trumbull is set to square off against their familiar foe Norwalk at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Eagles 2.8, the Bears 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
