Baseball Recap: Miami Comes Up Short

Miami lost against Immaculata-La Salle back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Stingarees lost 7-1 to the Royal Lions. The Stingarees have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Miami saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jhuseph Mejias, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Miami's defeat dropped their record down to 14-4. As for Immaculata-La Salle, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Miami will challenge Somerset Academy South Homestead at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Stingarees are facing the Hurricanes at the right time seeing as the Hurricanes are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Immaculata-La Salle, they will face off against Reagan at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in the Royal Lions' favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while the Bison have been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
