Softball Recap: Myrtle Point Comes Up Short

Myrtle Point lost against Reedsport back in April of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bobcats might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 18-8 to Reedsport, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The defeat leaves the Bobcats still looking for their first win of the season.

Myrtle Point's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Reedsport, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Myrtle Point will head out to face off against Umpqua Valley Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Monarchs will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last. As for Reedsport, they will venture away from home to challenge Powers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
