Softball Recap: Ocean View Christian Takes a Loss

Ocean View Christian lost against Liberty Charter back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Patriots came up short against the Lions, falling 24-8. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gianna Pollard was cooking despite her team's loss, earning two runs and two stolen bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Tori Worthington, who got on base in two of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Ocean View Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Liberty Charter, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Ocean View Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Liberty Charter, they will square off against La Jolla Country Day at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Torreys have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
