Softball Recap: Bonneville Victorious

Bonneville posted their closest win since March 14th on Wednesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Idaho Falls Tigers 2-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-0 on Tuesday.

Gracie Longhurst spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on one hit and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Bonneville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lila Coffman, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double. That's the most hits Coffman has posted since April 3rd.

Bonneville's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 14-9. As for Idaho Falls, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-13.

As of now, neither Bonneville nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
