The Lafayette Christian Academy Knights extended their postseason success on Friday against the McDonogh 35 Roneagles. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 57-21 win over the Roneagles. Lafayette Christian Academy might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won ten contests by 23 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Jujuan Johnson, who rushed for 151 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also threw for 163 yards and three touchdowns. Johnson has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Treanders Marzell, who picked up 96 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Lafayette Christian Academy's defense and their seven sacks. It was a group effort, with three guys contributing.
Lafayette Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. As for McDonogh 35, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4.
