Thatcher had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They walked away with a 20-10 win over the Payson Longhorns.

Thatcher's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Payson, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Thatcher will welcome Sabino at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles are facing the Sabercats at the right time seeing as the Sabercats are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Payson, they will be playing at home against River Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Dust Devils' defense has only allowed 13 points per game this season, so the Longhorns' offense will have their work cut out for them.
