Softball Recap: Allen Comes Up Short

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Allen and Plano East had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Eagles took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 7-5 loss on Thursday.

Chandler Chisum made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season.

Allen's loss dropped their record down to 14-17-1. As for Plano East, they have been performing well recently as they've won 15 of their last 19 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-9 record this season.

Allen will host Flower Mound at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Jaguars will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. Plano East does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
