Volleyball Recap: Newport Takes a Loss

Newport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ludlow Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 two weeks ago.

Newport's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Ludlow, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newport will welcome South Dearborn at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ludlow, they will host Boone County at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
