Osmond/Randolph comes up short despite Keli Aschoff's dominant performance

Recap: Osmond/Randolph Hawks vs. Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Bears

The Osmond/Randolph Hawks suffered their biggest defeat since December 21, 2023 on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Laurel-Concord-Coleridge at home and fell 56-29. While losing is never fun, Osmond/Randolph can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 241st, while Laurel-Concord-Coleridge is ranked 96th).

When it comes to explaining why Osmond/Randolph lost, one person who can't be blamed is Keli Aschoff. Despite the final result, she scored 15 points along with six steals.

Laurel-Concord-Coleridge was led to victory by Rena Rasmussen and Tali Erwin. Rasmussen scored 12 points along with nine steals and seven rebounds, while Erwin scored 15 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Erwin is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Mallory Eriksen was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five steals.

Osmond/Randolph's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Laurel-Concord-Coleridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Osmond/Randolph and Plainview will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Plainview is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games. As for Laurel-Concord-Coleridge, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Wakefield at 6:00 p.m.
