Softball Game Preview: Greenville Lions vs. Sherman Bearcats

Greenville is 0-6 against Sherman since March of 2016 but things could change on Friday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Greenville Lions challenge Sherman Bearcats at 6:45 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Greenville is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 12th straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Walnut Grove, falling 10-2.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Sherman's offense. They lost 15-0 to Melissa on Tuesday. The Bearcats haven't had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Sherman's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16-1. As for Greenville, their loss dropped their record down to 2-17.

Greenville suffered a grim 15-6 defeat to Sherman when the teams last played back in March. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
