Volleyball Recap: Sycamore Aviators vs. Kings Knights
After flying high against Fairmont last Saturday, Sycamore came back down to earth. The Sycamore Aviators fell 3-1 to the Kings Knights on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Aviators in their matchups with the Knights: they've now lost nine in a row.
Sycamore started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 27-25, 25-17, 25-23.
Despite the loss, Sycamore still got an impressive performance from Ari Demaris, who had 15 digs and three aces. Demaris has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Balent, who had four digs and two aces.
