Pinecrest Academy Cadence skates past Cristo Rey St. Viator with ease

A well-balanced attack led the Pinecrest Academy Cadence Cougars over the Cristo Rey St. Viator Royals in every quarter on their way to victory on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Pinecrest Academy Cadence blew Cristo Rey St. Viator out of the water with a 66-30 final score. With Pinecrest Academy Cadence ahead 37-15 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Pinecrest Academy Cadence had a senior duo take command as Jeremiah Maurer almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds and Elijah Engfer scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. It was the first time this season that Maurer pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Martinique Brown, who scored ten points.

Pinecrest Academy Cadence's lineup was just a bit different on Thursday as Malachi Jabal got a bit more time on the court (19 vs. his season average of 10.09). Jabal made the most of the opportunity, scoring seven points along with 13 rebounds. A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.
