Bearden and Hermitage are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2018, but likely not for long. The Bears will head out to face off against the Hermits at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bearden's pitching crew has only allowed 1.6 runs per game this season, so Hermitage's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Bearden fell victim to Taylor and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to the Tigers. The Bears have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Hermitage had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Lafayette County on Tuesday, sneaking past 6-5.

Hermitage's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-10. As for Bearden, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 9-1.

Everything went Bearden's way against Hermitage when the teams last played back in March, as Bearden made off with an 11-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
