Soccer Recap: West Shamokin Takes a Loss

West Shamokin and Juniata squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but West Shamokin had to settle for second. They came up short against the Indians, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, West Shamokin can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 326th, while Juniata are ranked 113th).

West Shamokin's loss dropped their record down to 11-7-1. As for Juniata, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3-2 record this season.

As of now, neither West Shamokin nor Juniata have any future games scheduled.
