Basketball Recap: Millikan Rams vs. Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits
If the Millikan Rams were riding high off their 82-47 takedown of the Compton Tarbabes last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Millikan's rough 67-42 defeat to the Jackrabbits on Thursday might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Millikan can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 719th, while the Jackrabbits are ranked 101st).
When it comes to explaining why Millikan lost, one person who can't be blamed is Max Crawford. Despite the final result, he scored ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Ocampo, who scored six points.
Millikan has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season. As for Long Beach Poly, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-8.
Millikan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Long Beach Poly also has no future games currently scheduled.
