After losing to Hanceville the last time they met, Vinemont decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Vinemont Eagles put the hurt on the Hanceville Bulldogs with a sharp 18-6 victory on Tuesday. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Banks Borwick looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in February.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Owen McKinney, who scored three runs while going 5-for-5. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits. Another player making a difference was Tucker Mauter, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Vinemont was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .472. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Vinemont pushed their record up to 17-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 7 runs. As for Hanceville, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Looking ahead, Vinemont will take on Elkmont at 4:30 p.m. on March 27th. As for Hanceville, they will challenge Sardis at 2:00 p.m. on March 27th.
