With a playoff win on the line, New Lexington rose to the challenge on Saturday. They came out on top against the Zane Trace Pioneers by a score of 3-1. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.
The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 21-25, 25-17, 25-18.
Chloe Dick paced New Lexington's offense, picking up 19 kills. Dick got some help from Jorja Burkhart and her 46 assists. Burkhart was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.
New Lexington's victory bumped their record up to 23-2. As for Zane Trace, their defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 19-6.
Looking ahead, New Lexington will face off against Wheelersburg at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Zane Trace does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
