Basketball Recap: Campbellsville Comes Up Short

Campbellsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss. They were beaten by the Adair County Indians 85-44. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 221st, while the Indians are ranked 21st).

Adair County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Connor Loy, who to rack up 21 points in addition to eight assists and three steals. Loy is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 55% in the last four games he's played. Isaiah Cochran was another key player, en route to 23 points and six boards.

Campbellsville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-26. As for Adair County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 18 of their last 19 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Campbellsville nor Adair County have any future games scheduled.
