Baseball Recap: Ganado Comes Up Short

Ganado was the 15-5 winner over Weimar when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Indians fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 6-5 on Tuesday. Surprisingly, this marked the fifth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Callen Hajovsky was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Ganado is 5-1 when Hajovsky posts two or more runs, but 2-8-1 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Cain Hayden, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Ganado moved to 7-9-1 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Weimar, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-8 record.

Looking ahead, Ganado is taking a road trip to face off against Moulton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Weimar does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
