Basketball Recap: Arcadia Snags Tenth Victory in Last 11 Games

Arcadia had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Southampton Indians by a score of 73-61 on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Firebirds: when they faced off against the Indians back in December of 2024, they had to take a 80-73 loss.

Arcadia got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ryheim Pettit out in front who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 17 rebounds. Pettit is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 58% in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jordan Cropper, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten boards.

Arcadia was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Arcadia has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.5 points over those games. Southampton's defeat dropped their record down to 17-6.
