Volleyball Game Preview: Rotan Yellowhammers vs. Munday Moguls

The Rotan Yellowhammers will head out to face off against the Munday Moguls at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Rotan will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Rotan proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by three) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Strawn 3-2.

Rotan had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 17-25, 25-19, 25-17, 15-7.

Meanwhile, Munday didn't have quite enough to beat Benjamin on Saturday and fell 3-2.

Munday actually scored more points across those five sets (105-96), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 16-25, 15-25, 25-20, 15-13.

Munday has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-18 record this season. As for Rotan, their victory bumped their record up to 8-15.

Rotan came up short against Munday when the teams last played back in September, falling 2-0. Can the Yellowhammers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
