Interboro is a perfect 10-0 against Academy Park since May of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. Meanwhile, Academy Park came up short against Chester on Tuesday and fell 6-3. The Knights have struggled against the Clippers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Sean Murphy was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 13 over 6.1 innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Chase Clark made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.
Interboro's record now sits at 11-7. As for Academy Park, their record is now 2-11.
Academy Park's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Interboro hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .337. It's a different story for Academy Park, though, as they've only averaged .203. Will they be able to contain Interboro's hitters?
Everything went Interboro's way against Academy Park when the teams last played two weeks ago, as Interboro made off with a 10-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Buccaneers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
