Recap: Boyertown Bears vs. Methacton Warriors
The Boyertown Bears's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their seventh straight loss. They took a 61-47 bruising from Methacton. While losing is never fun, Boyertown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 366th, while Methacton is ranked 81st).
Despite the loss, Boyertown still got an impressive performance from Trey Kern, who scored 24 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jack Greaves, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
Boyertown has not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Methacton, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-4.
Boyertown will be playing at home against Interboro at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday. Interboro is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Methacton, they will head out on the road to face off against Plymouth Whitemarsh at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
